Europe Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication Région Réunion Le Port Consiel général de La Réunion

A study abroad period is an extraordinary blend of human, artistic and cultural experiences. We encourage all students to explore new places and ideas as part of their curriculum.

Ecole Supérieure d'Art de La Réunion has established mutual agreements with partner institutions in Europe, within the Indian Ocean zone and elsewhere. It is continually expanding its international network. In an island like La Réunion - a true melting pot of cultures and peoples, at the crossroads of different histories and cultures - such a mission is particularly significant and important. We are aware however, that theIsland location does not permit to enjoy the same travel opportunities than people in Europe or in other continental areas. We thus commit to supporting Réunion students visiting abroad financially, organisationally and pedagogically as well as providing them with the most up to date information available to ensure an enriching overseas study experience.

The International Relations office was set up for this purpose. Do not hesitate to approach their qualified staff for more information, particularly 2nd and 3rd year students. Due to course and degree restrictions, the opportunity to attend a partnered establishment – whether for a semester or an entire year – can only be done in the 4th year of study.

But of course a stay abroad needs to be well prepared. Depending on the country and host institution the following documents are generally required:

• a letter of motivation
• a CV
• an art portfolio showcasing your creations (on CD, in the form of images, photos, videos...)
• an academic transcript
• a foreign language certificate (for those who intend to study in non-Francophone countries)

Note: These documents must be either in the language of the host institution, or English.
